Games

Playing games are alot of fun, don't you think? Many people (including myself) play games and then have a real urge to make a game! Perhaps it's because you've played a game where you think it was badly designed, or something could have been done better.

You have a sudden rush of excitement, and then get a feeling of disappointment because you then think you need to learn C++. Perhaps you have tried to learn a programming language before and struggled to do anything more complicated than putting a few words onto the screen?.....

Well I think I might have a solution for you! A number of years ago I got the game making bug and luckily for me I found a developer who was making "easier" game making programs for the Amiga (a very popular - but quite old) computer. That program was called AMOS, the same developer got together with another programmer and created a program called Klik and Play for the PC platform. Since then I've used all of their programs, the team behind these programs are Clickteam (www.clickteam.com). They have made a wide range of computer game creation tools for many years, and the latest versions have been released in June 2006 (the Amazing book is based on one of these versions).
